Welcome to the First Riddle

Here it is:

In lavender or white

They’ve kept me on the run

But when bridging the waters

Don’t ask me “What I’ve Done.”

No doubt, somebody knows this, but it ain't me. I think I'm out already.

Same here... Good thing I kept reminding people that I would lose.

I ... I'm out.

I cannot move forward.

I'm out ... can't move any further, after the first one.

Why does Jonathan hate us?

By the way, I've even Googled some of the stuff in the riddle, like "what I've done" and so forth...I got zippo.

I don't know about you, Bill, but I think he hates us for our freedom.

I'm out.

I live in a country that's like a great big prison without even any liberties. So that can't be it.

He's supposed to start a game with an easy one. Cheater.

I did the same thing, I googled "what I've done" and only came up with "Transformers," which wasn't it, though it took me to a lovely blog by some people named Jennifer and Erin.

Let's go get a beer. THAT'LL show him.

I'm in.

Maybe this isn't even a movie quiz. Maybe this riddle is supposed to get us to look deep within ourselves.

Guh??? Did this "anonymous" guy get it??

Anonymous said...

Nope. That was me. I hit enter too soon.

I think it's a twisted plan to somehow up his hit count or something, these comments will be aggregated somehow and accrue (again, somehow) to that blog of his, cinema-whatever ...

Hey, if we all put our heads together, we could probably figure this out. Then we could split the DVD five ways.

Lavendar and white. I'm thinking royalty and clergy or a wedding dress.

Nuns on the Run?

Also...maybe it's a movie that's been remade? I did a search for "lavender white film", and there's something there. It has to do with tinting, but I'm wondering if the clue is that the film was first made in B&W, and later remade in color.

I realize I'm reaching here, but I'm getting a little desperate.

I tried Nuns on the Run, but that's not it.

Sea? See? C??? Get it? "C" for "Catwoman"!

I know what it is, but is it fair to post it here?

I say, if you got it, just keep going. Don't worry about us!! Don't look back!!

Good for you Rick. Can you give us a better hint than this stupid poem?

This reminds me of Steve Reeves's search for the Blue Rose in Thief of Baghdad: "The first door lies to the east, and can be seen where it is not..."

Yes, think a bridge in 1940-something in a far-away land.

Dear lord sorry everybody.

"What have I done?"

Think Japan and WW II

Greg said...

Lavender Hill is the reference there and the Man in the white suit is the other.

Now just come up with the WWII movie.

Greg said...

AND NO ONE'S GOT THE TRIVIA ANSWER YET SO DON'T WORRY.

Uncle Gustav said...

"What have I done?"...you might find yourself living in a shotgun shack...?

Who let the talking head in?
